About Us

Our Story

The Outskirts is owned and operated by Yakima Valley natives Joe Catron, Patrick Gasseling, Chase Webster, Josh Johnson, and Cody Beebe. Each member of this team are home-grown entrepreneurs that bring their own unique perspectives, experiences, and skill sets to achieve a shared desire; to create a place where people just like themselves, workin’ boots and all, could walk right in, enjoy a great meal and a good beer in a place that feels like home. It’s in this spirit that the team invites you come-as-you-are, and you will always be welcomed into an experience that is both a little different and altogether familiar.

The Old Red Barns

Anyone familiar with what’s on the edge of town between Selah and Yakima knows “the old red barns." This turn-of-the-century building is the cornerstone of The Outskirts. The process of maintaining and refurbishing the original structure was painstaking, but worth it for the poignant nostalgia felt by anyone who walks through its doors.
